Pastor Mike was raised right here at New London Baptist Church, and it was in Jr. Church at the age of 5 that he received Christ as his personal savior on February 27th, 1983.  While being raised in a Christian home, attending a Christian school, and then homeschooled, he didn’t take things of God seriously until going to the International ALERT Academy after high school. (A Christian organization that specialized in international disaster relief). Upon graduation and his return home, he began serving in the church, first as a teacher of the 3&4 year olds in kids club.
After his family began attending Nottingham Missionary Baptist Church in ‘98, he began serving there as a Sunday school teacher for 6th-8th grade boys and a few years later also served as Camp Director for The Eastern Baptist Fellowship Campground.  It was there that he married his wife Mickie and began raising their 4 kids.

On May 1st 2011 the Lord brought them back home to New London, and by the end of that year they were serving as the Youth Group leaders and Sunday school teacher. In 2014 God blessed them with another child, and in 2015 the church elected Mike as Deacon. While serving in that role, he announced his call to the pastorate on February 16th, 2020 but continued serving as Youth Leader and Deacon until his election as Pastor March 20th, 2022.

His goal for New London Baptist Church is to be known as a Disciple making church.

All teachers, assistants and volunteers who work with children 17 and under have undergone Commonwealth of Pennsylvania background checks. This includes a Criminal Record Check followed by a Child Abuse History Clearance.
​In addition, those who do not reside in the state of Pennsylvania or have lived outside the state within the last 10 years, have undergone an F.B.I. investigation and fingerprinting. All Pastors have submitted to all three clearances.
